《Art of Life》全曲將近30分鐘，由搖滾樂、交響樂與即興鋼琴演奏等三大部分所組成，是日本流行樂界中少數非常了不起的作品之一，它獨特的演奏曲風被視為是日本特有的。這首曲子是因為YOSHIKI在演唱會中途昏倒，之後在醫院裡獨自與病魔奮鬥的時候所寫出來的人生體驗。它磅礡的氣勢、和其中的深度不是我打幾個字就可以表達的，聽過就知道什麼叫做"具有靈魂的音樂"。
下面影片是1993年東京巨蛋LIVE
這首歌在1994年以後的LIVE就沒有再出現過了
全曲將近30分的演奏對肉體上也是很大的折磨
所以對X JAPAN的歌迷來說是難得聽到的夢幻之曲
但在這次2008年復活演出竟然出現
已過世的HIDE的3D投影影像也復活在舞台上 他果然沒有離開
只不過YOSHIKI還是撐不住在演奏一半時陷入昏迷
只好再第三天演出第二段
他們都不是年輕小夥子了阿
難道YOSHIKI大真的要實現他說的話死在舞台上嗎
果然是用生命在做音樂的偉大音樂家
