Given to one of my net pal is asking for my opinion about Avril Lavigne, Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes, yet there's a 1000 words limit to reply so i'll put my review on those singers in this article.
i must say Avril Lavigne rocks every single album, also she is the only female pop-rock/pop-punk singer i love to listen to.
" under my skin" and " my best damn thing" are my fav albums from her, each song is like, heartfelt stories together with messages of self-empowerment for teenagers, that makes me stream her songs over and over like she is sharing me her own past and inner voice in her teens.
i also love her latest one, i can tell her becoming mature from the tone of her music but still being rebellious from her lyrics and voice. no matter what, she'll always be my mother fuckin' princess forever, aha!
talking about Camila, i know lots of people are hating on her becuz she left fifth harmony, i still feel sorry for that but she really has the voice to show off, her singing skills are without doubt.
anyway i would like to go deep into her voice, high notes and falsetto are amazing and pleasing yet her sounding belt is a little bit throaty and her pronunciation is in fact not clear, but for me that's the reason why those make her sounds unique, sexy and laid-back, which becomes a style of her own.
i love her music being influenced by Latin, which is rarely seen in main pop music or R&B.
for Shawn Mendes, i have to admit that i didn't like his music initially becuz i thought he was trying to copy justin biber in order to catch up with "biber fever" though he cited john mayer and justin timberlake for his musical influences.
but after years i found him humble and works hard for his own creation as well as singing skills, so now i can accept his music actually listen to it a lot.
he has better singing skills (and manners, lol) than JB, he writes his own songs, the best thing i like him is his beautiful heart, this is really touching of a teen trying to spread the idea of equality of people right.
well there's still lots of things we can talk about, i manage to make my opinions short but i can't, lmao. what about yours?:))
